I love inconsistency. It'd be really boring if I woke up everyday knowing that I'll be OK. But in all seriousness, necromancer was my first class in GW1 and my main in GW2, undead was my favourite race in Warcraft 3, and Dread Necromancer is a wonderful class in D&D 3.5. Necromancy is in my blood. Rev and Ele are probably the best for CC right now. Rev Staff 5 is amazing for breakbars. Similarly, Ele has skills like Air Focus 5 or Warhorn 4 for great breakbar damage. As for CCing a a bunch of small mobs, very few skills are better than the Mesmer Focus 4 pull which makes AOEing down a bunch of small mobs really easy.

BECAUSE SOLDIER STAT REAPER!!! Necromancer is the best class because it has the best damage and useful support that groups know and love. Two health bars for the price of one! Because necros will cut themselves just to see you bleed.
Asura seems best, going by the Thaumanova fractal morph. Hundred Blades take 3.5 seconds, with Quickness its half that. So outside of that beautiful timeframe I would have to spend my time as a talking rat with melon for a head which isn't worth it. Also female Charr Hundred Blades is not too shabby at all I must say.
The main roles (on pve endgame content) are dps, support. The support class are the tank (if needed) and healers most of the time but also covers important boons, and there is some dps that goes half dps half support too. But if you are starting playing the game, i'd suggest you don't bother too much with this.
If you want to play a hybrid dps, then it's best to choose a class with only 1 damaging condi, so you can reach 100% X condi duration with runes, sigils and traits (but no Expertise in stats). spectre with wells, daredevil, willbender or mirage. the most fun in term of mobility imo is vanilla thief. you can play daredevil with the speed boost dodge, but vanilla thief has a 1200 range steal, making it really fun. specter also has a teleport on all his utility skills and on the elite too. Ranger: longbow knockback guarantees you get highest DPS because the rest of your party's DPS drops when you knock it out of all their high damage cooldowns. I'm just kidding, of course; the above tactic mostly only applies to open-world events. Follow zerg, knockback, profit. 6. Photoloss. 200 upvotes · 80 comments. r/Guildwars2. With the upcoming tome changes celebrand is going to fall very far from grace. Imo scourge is one of, if not, the best classes for cele gear. It's one of the few classes that gets a lot of value from every single Stat. Tempest and scrapper are also pretty good in cele. 9. Free boonspam from pet merge and a lot of abilities become super powerful (e.g. Sic'Em and Axe 3). Poison build soulbeast has incredible sustain in both open world solo stuff and pvp. Also Dolyak stance is one of the most powerful defense abilities in the game. 5. boomboomown.

Probably anything that gives itself quickness, crit cap/condi duration caps and bonus points for might. I think I’d put my money on a zerker reaper or vipers quick brand as highest dps. They’re also relatively survivable classes and can go full glass as long as you’re playing intelligently. 2. Beranir.

The cooldown of the skill is 20 secs. With Alac the CD is 16 Secs. With the trait the skill will pulse Alac 6 times with 2 sec duration per pulse. Totaling 12 secs with 0% boon duration. Since you need 16 Secs of Alac to achieve perma Alac, you need 34% boost to turn that 12 secs into 16 Secs.

Rifle. AED, Nades, Throw Mine, free slot (rifle turret for dps), Mortar Kit/Supply Crate. Explosives 3-1-3, Firearms 3-3-2, Tools 1-3-3. Berserker + Scholar runes, sigils Force+X. It’s on the higher end on the APM scale, but not super difficult to execute once you have a decent understanding of engi.

What feels good this month, won't in 2 months. GW2 for all its pros picking a class is probably the most punishing aspect due to constant balance shifts. There used to be safer choices like Firebrand & Mechanist (due to Dev favoritism) but now its a hot mess. Berserker is probably the best melee dps at the moment.

go into one element and use overload (fire>earth and air) Do some skills while waiting for water attunement cooldown. go into water to heal the group, (quickly) Never overload in water. And as you can see while reading the guide, you can customize the build a lot depending on the boons you want to give to the party.

Picking a class that can cover many boons, and or healing and have a good dps build is better then the hardest class as you will be able to take on multiple roles in a group setting. Check out the website snow crows. They have rotations and skill levels for each class. Look for a class that looks interesting and covers a few roles. Check the
